Centered around Christmas, the contest is organized byEssaymama to "treat the most talented writers with great prizes!"
"This is a great opportunity for all talented writers to express themselves," the organizers said on the website.
Interested writers are to write a 4,000 word prose work themed around Christmas in English language.
“The story can be written in any style - instructive, funny, sad, for children. The main thing - it must be about Christmas.”
One entrant is entitled to only one submission to be made via an email address provided on the website.
And there are big rewards.
"Each of the top 3 writers will be awarded with $330," the announcement stated.
"15 best works will be added to the printed "Best EssayMama's Stories: Christmas Edition" book and published on the best resources for writers. Every winner will get his/her own copy via mail. "
Entries will be received until Christmas Day and the winners will be announced on the 5th of January 2014.
